Alistair Aitchison
Alistair Aitchison was born in Scotland and now lives in South Oxfordshire where he is married with 5 boys. He is passionate about his family, golf, coaching football, mountain biking and serving at Church.
Educated at Edinburgh University (BSc) and the Marriott School of Management (MBA) he has over 15 years experience in sales and marketing with ICI, Air Products & Chemicals and Novell. In the last 10 years Alistair has worked as a partner in employee engagement consulting with Emenex in conjunction with Global Novations, Red Tree Learning and Learning Solutions International.
Alistair has a broad range of international experience working with clients across EMEA including: Extreme Networks, ADCO, Molson Coors, DC Thomson, Acronis, GMAC RFC, Philips, Intel, KCI, VMWare, Dubai Properties, BP and Ciena.
Alistair is currently co-authoring a book entitled ‘The 6 Drivers of Highly Engaged Employees’ and serves as a non-executive director on the board of Clevertouch, a UK based ‘joined-up’ marketing organisation.
Bev Heslin
Bev Heslin born and raised in Zimbabwe, now lives in Reading with her husband and 2 children. She is passionate about her community, business, technology and photography. Bev serves in her community on the Reading Interfaith Committee, the Reading SACRE and on the PTA of her daughter’s school.
Having completed her education at Peterhouse; Bev began her career at Rio Tinto where she discovered her passion for Technology. She has over 15 years experience in the IT industry, working in a variety of positions from sales to purchasing, technical to management. Clients included Samsung, Intel, Seagate, Black Box and Viewsonic. In the last 4 years she has managed various functions for Emenex and was appointed a partner in 2010.
Bev has a broad range of experience and brings a wide set of skills to Emenex including sales, marketing, IT and office management.
Jonathan Broadhurst FCIPD, Partner

Born in Reading, but now an adopted Yorkshire man with his wife Jane and dogs. Jonathan is passionate about sport (ex squash pro), motorbikes and supporting community development projects.
Educated at the University of Huddersfield (FCIPD), Jonathan has over 15 years experience in management roles in the sports leisure and retail industries, including executive board responsibility for HR with a national retailer.
Jonathan sees so many parallels between elite sports and business, and uses his wide ranging experience to develop the performance of individuals and teams. Over the last 10 years Jonathan’s work has worked focused on leadership and career development projects including the NHS, Agfa, British Transport Police, Kongsberg Automotive, Zurich, Martech UK Ltd and Aspire-i
In his spare time, Jonathan still plays a bit of squash, tours on his Honda Blackbird and is CPD Adviser for the West Yorkshire CIPD.
Steve Short
Steve Short was born some time ago and grew up and worked around various places in Greater London, before moving further north where he now lives in Buxton, Derbyshire. Married with three grown up children, Steve is passionate about rugby (only as a spectator these days!), skiing, mountaineering and motorcycle touring.
He left school and joined the Metropolitan Police, serving as a detective constable in Richmond, Croydon and Brixton. In his late twenties, after a ‘late gap year’ spent travelling the world with his wife, he joined Lindley Educational Trust as a trainer, subsequently becoming their training manager and then centre manager.
In 1998 Steve branched out on his own, specialising in helping team leaders and managers get top results from their teams, all the time. He’s passionate about helping team leaders develop the skills of team leadership, so that they are better able to keep building their team all day, every day. He has worked with clients such as Shell, the NHS, Molson Coors, Total Refrigeration, Lhoist UK, Viridian Housing, nPower, and CARE Fertility.
Steve has an MSc in Strategic Leadership, from Salford University and is a Fellow of ITOL - the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning.
John Schonegevel
John's place of birth is Cape Town, South Africa. He moved to the UK, to sunny Manchester, at the age of six and from there to London and South East England. John is a keen tennis player and also spends time walking the family dog.
John has an MSc in Executive Coaching from Ashridge and a BSc in Zoology from Kings College, University of London. He is also a member of the Institute of Marketing and of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council. For many years he worked in marketing management, marketing consultancy and leadership roles with organisations including Dyno-Rod, Marketing Solutions, 3i PLC, Computer 2000 and Informix. In 2000 he set up his own consulting organisation and has worked as a partner within Emenex for the past six years.
John has worked with varied organisations across the USA, Europe, Middle East, Australasia and Southern Africa and brings an extensive knowledge of implementing best-practice across cultures to all his projects. His Clients include; Alliance & Leicester, Bibby Distribution Group, Lloyds TSB, Group 4 Securicor, Combined Insurance, Ordnance Survey, OLM Group, Wayside Audi, British Legion, Clearwater Technology, Al-Habtoor Group, Sun Microsystems, Star and Kyak Systems.
Andy Haigh
Andy Haigh was born in Twickenham and now lives on and manages a small airfield near Canterbury in Kent where he pursues his passion of flying in his spare time. He is married with 4 grown-up children and his other great love is offshore sailing.
Andy graduated in Electronics at the University of Kent at Canterbury (UKC) and spent the first 17 years of his career with the Royal Air Force in communications management. Upon leaving the RAF Andy spent over 15 years in a variety of senior and director roles in large multinational companies including: Rank Xerox, Unisys and S-Com where he specialised in improving business results through business process re-engineering. As a partner in Emenex Andy assists a wide range of government and private organisations in improving their employee and organisational performance.
Andy’s clients include: Kent County Council, the Ministry of Justice, Royal Mail, Guardian News & Media, Steria and many smaller companies. Andy’s book, “Winning Public Sector Contracts” was published by the Guardian under its Professional title series in 2010.
David Evans
David Evans joined emenex with a lead role to extend its solutions allied to Organisational Development. Working first as a consulting engineer, he has held industry positions in professional services, sales and management generally driving high technology solutions to serve global manufacturers in aerospace, automotive and energy sectors.
