Coaching for Success

ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring

By 2017, around 900,000 new managers will have been appointed. However, around 60% of those newly appointed managers will be un-prepared for their new management role. The impact of under-prepared, uninspired and sometimes unwilling managers can be devastating to the individual, their team members and the organisation as a whole.

Three decades of research has gone into identifying the most effective ways of developing and improving individual performance and contribution. The answer is unambiguous - Coaching is the key approach to unlocking potential and bringing about lasting improvements. Developed to meet the Institute of Leadership & Management’s new standards, participants completing the Coaching for Success programme will achieve the Level 5 Certificate in Coaching. Using reflective practice, skills development and an exploration of the concepts and models that promote change, participants will be able to increase their coachees contribution to the organisation through the development of new thinking, skills and behaviour

Leaders @ Change

Implementing your change management or transformation strategy means that your leaders and managers need to understand how to get people to do things differently.
This full-day work session focuses on the strategies and ideas that your leaders need to make it happen.

Every individual and organisation goes through change in the same way. Knowing how to use this pattern makes it much easier to lead people through it. The Leaders@Change workshop will help your managers and leaders bring people through change faster and get better results:

ThinkAbout Communicating

Many of the day to day business problems we face are communication problems, or are the result of poor communication. In customer-facing, as well as internal functions, “getting through to” people of the same and different thinking styles is critical to personal and organisational effectiveness.

Organisations are increasingly using Whole Brain® Thinking as the basis for a “common language” to improve communication skills and the results are impressive. ThinkAbout Communicating helps participants understand the impact thinking has on the way they communicate, leading to impressive improvements in business and personal performance

Going the ‘Extra MILE’

Every organisation wants sustainable high performance from its employees. The challenge is to understand the relationship between individual needs and organisational expectations and align the two in order to meet both and achieve high levels of engagement and performance.

Drawing on existing research, client’s own experience and our insights, we have developed the Going the Extra MILE Workshop. Building on the pre-workshop assessment, the Extra MILE” Workshop takes individuals through four key dimensions of high performance and engagement: Personal Motives, the organisation's Infrastructure and Leadership and the Efficacy of the individual. The workshop helps individuals build a powerful personal and career development plan that increases performance and engagement with the organisation.

ILM Award and Certificate in Leadership and Management

The programmes challenge the individual to give them the practical skills and confidence to contribute more to their organisation. The emphasis is on workplace application. Participants and their managers report a measurable improvement in personal and team performance. Blending interactive workshops, text, or web-based distance learning, 1:1 coaching and psychometric profiling, the programmes equip managers with leading research based tools, practical techniques and the personal resources to increase personal productivity and team performance
